Ghassan Itani, ITC CEO.

“We extend our thanks to His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission CITC, Dr. Abdul Aziz Bin Salem Al Ruwais, and all CITC staff for issuing this license, which demonstrates CITC trust and confidence of what ITC has offered to telecom industry, and their belief in ITC’s ability to provide more innovative telecommunications services”, said Ghassan Itani.

“We will continue to work hard to provide the latest ICT technologies that complement their role in achieving the objectives of the National Transformation Program 2020 and the Kingdom Vision 2030. Today, we will be able to offer a full range of telecom services including voice and triple-play services, as well as providing multiple benefits to our customers to improve our competitive position in the sector”, Eng. Itani added.

ITC has gone a long way in achieving its goals by deploying broadband services to quarter of a million households through MCIT initiative to implement high-speed fiber optic broadband to urban and dense areas. The company aims to cover more than 640,000 households in different regions of the Kingdom.

Over the years, ITC has successfully transformed from a traditional network-centric provider to a service-centric, end-to-end ICT provider with converged product offerings and this was done in response to the current technology and market developments especially the consolidation of IT and telecom into one Information and Communications Technology (ICT) ecosystem.

In response to the high adoption in the Saudi market of new technologies such as cloud computing, managed and security services and technology outsourcing, ITC has outstandingly followed a strategic direction to become a leader in the ICT industry.
