Reflecting on the challenges involved in building a successful tech startup, Mounir Ladki, President and CTO of MYCOM OSI, says entrepreneurs need to accept that mistakes will be made and that taking risks is essential. Mr. Ladki spoke during a panel session at the Telecom Review Summit held in Beirut on 13 April, where he shared his story of co-founding an innovative tech company that develops telecom-centric solutions.

After announcing its new identity, it has become clear that Ogero is striving to improve infrastructure and offer state-of-the-art services to its customers. The greatest opportunities for students graduating from university are going to be in technology and the knowledge economy, the head of the Arab region's top ranked university said at the Telecom Review Summit in Beirut on 13 April. Dr. Fadlo Khuri, President of the American University of Beirut (AUB) said the Lebanese economy needs to diversify if it's to retain its graduates.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority is the federal body in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), responsible for the management of every aspect of the telecommunications and information technology industry in the country. H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori currently holds the position of Director General at the General Authority for Regulating the Telecommunications Sector. Speaking to Telecom Review, H.E. Al Mansoori opened up about some of the organization's recent projects, including its 'Coverage Center' aimed at enhancing the delivery of quality calls.

American multinational computer technology corporation, Oracle, which specializes in cloud applications and platform services, is committed to creating a digital transformation strategy that is aligned with customer business objectives, according to senior vice president - Technology, Middle East and Africa, Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban. Oracle is shifting the balance from IT-driven projects to business-driven initiatives where technology is geared towards serving the business, he said.
