In line with its objective to pioneer the digital transformation in the UAE and across the region, du, part of Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (EITC) participated as Smart ICT Partner at Gartner Symposium 2018, a gathering of CIOs and senior IT executives in the GCC region. du showcased its smart ICT solutions at the influential event in Dubai.

"Gartner Symposium presents an immensely valuable opportunity for IT players in the region to converge under one roof and engage with one another around the most pressing and intriguing topics circulating in our industry today. We believe the Symposium is an incubator for innovation in the region, and we take pride in our role as Smart ICT Solutions at such an influential event," said Farid Faraidooni, Deputy CEO, ICT Solutions, EITC.

At the expo, du's booth housed exhibitions for its Dubai Pulse, Smart Concierge, and Hassantuk solutions. Dubai Pulse is a central operating system for the city's smart services and technologies; Smart identity helps businesses streamline and solve visitor management problems through Blockchain technology; and Hassantuk is a state-of-the-art integrated smart monitoring platform for which du serves as the technology partner.

The agenda for Gartner Symposium 2018 revolved around three focus areas, including technology and information, leadership, and business strategy within the IT space in the GCC region. With more than 600 attendees, including over 200 IT CIOs, the expo serves as an ideal platform for sharing best practices, embracing new perspectives, and expanding personal networks between key industry players in the GCC.
