Etisalat Digital delivered a keynote on Digital Resilience and hosted a roundtable discussion on digital risk protection during Gartner's Security and Risk Management Summit in Dubai that took place on October 22nd and 23rd.

The theme of this year's event is 'Securing Digital Business: Adapt. Transform. Scale.' Top chief information security officers and risk management professionals in the region attended the event to exchange views, hone their leadership capabilities and gather the information needed to enable the digital business in a world of escalating risks.

Kamran Ahsan, Senior Director, Security Solutions at Etisalat Digital, presented his views on 'Digital Resilience - a Yardstick for today's Security Posture'. His session addressed how digital resilience is perceived and addressed by a telco to its government, enterprises and small and medium business (SMB) customers.

Digitalization of industry verticals, convergence of IT with other networks and prevalence of modern technologies have posed a new set of challenges in the security fraternity. Security is a key pillar of Etisalat Digital's value proposition. Through Etisalat Digital's solutions and services, we serve all verticals in private and public sectors and firmly believe that resilience is an effective measure for a security posture of a digital organization. Etisalat has built a holistic approach in addressing this new set of challenges for our customers managing their dynamic business ecosystems.

Also present at the event was Sudhir Menon, Director, Solutions Marketing-Security Solutions at Etisalat Digital, who hosted and moderated an exclusive round table on the topic: 'Demystifying Digital Risk Protection'.

Security and risk professionals face an arduous task to safeguard organization's ever-growing digital footprints. With digital security threats leading to significant economic and social consequences, adoption of Digital Risk Protection (DRP) is ever increasing. DRP consumers cut across multiple stakeholders in an organization via information security, marketing and branding, legal, operations, HR and risk management teams.

During this roundtable, leading security practitioners demystified the complex needs that stakeholders seek from DRP services. It concluded with remediation options available to minimize organization's mean-time-to-remediate (mTTR) needs.

The two-day Gartner summit provided the latest information on new threats and emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, analytics, and blockchain - while helping address the ongoing shortage of skilled staff.
