In the 3GPP R15 version, the Service-based Architecture (SBA), as the network infrastructure of 5G, greatly promotes the transformation of micro-services from CT to IT. With the extensive testing and trial commercialization of operators and equipment vendors, the maturity of SBA is getting higher.

In advance of Mobile World Congress, Nokia today announces a raft of enhancements to its Anyhaul transport portfolio that help operators prepare their networks for 5G by delivering throughput speeds of up to 25 Gbps to base stations.

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, announced the Snapdragon X55 5G modem, its second-generation 5G New Radio (NR) modem. Snapdragon X55 is a 7-nanometer single-chip integrated 5G to 2G multimode modem that supports 5G NR mmWave and sub-6 GHz spectrum bands with up to 7 gigabits per second (Gbps) download speeds and 3 Gbps upload speeds over 5G, and Category 22 LTE with up to 2.5 Gbps LTE download speeds.

Ahead of the Mobile World Congress, Ericsson announced it is evolving its 5G Platform with portfolio additions across core, radio access and transport areas, as well as service orchestration. These add-ons make the platform more dynamic and flexible, enabling service providers to smoothly evolve their networks and deploy 5G at scale.
