Etihad Etisalat Mobily has signed a MoU with Huawei, for provision of managed network services for a term of next 5 years. The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of Mobile World Congress 2016, in Barcelona, Spain by Ahmed Farroukh, CEO Mobily and Ramadan Ding, CEO Huawei Tech. Investment Saudi Arabia Co., Ltd. Under the contract, Huawei will be providing managed network services Mobily network.

Under the agreement, Huawei will manage Mobily network, including Radio Access, Core, Optical Transmission, VAS, IPTV and MPLS Network. The managed service portfolio for the above components include day to day operations and management, corrective and preventive field maintenance, system optimization, change management and installation and upgrades, among other deliverable. Mobily aims to exploit synergies developed by awarding this contract to ensure increased efficiencies within its network.

Speaking at the occasion, Ahmed Farroukh, CEO Mobily said: ""Over a period of past few years, Huawei has proven to be a trusted partner and service provider for us; as per our strategy, we are committed to explore synergies which lead to optimization of performance and cost structure throughout our networks. We are sure that through this agreement, we will be able to smoothly reach out targets in terms of balance between quality and efficiency.""

Mobily, under its new strategy, has been working on increased synergies and optimization across all spheres of business. With initiatives such as managed services agreement, expansion of sale & support network, launch of innovative services and many other initiatives, Mobily aims to be able to better cater to the quality, performance and service needs of the customers.
