Advantech Wireless, a global leader for Satellite broadband communications solutions, announced that it has delivered its most advanced Discovery hub and terminals for a military customer in the Middle East. This is the first of multiple planned deliveries to this customer.

As part of a major upgrade to the military infrastructure in the country, this network deployment is the first military grade fully redundant hub deployed by Advantech Wireless in the country following a number of successful commercial network installations for the country's national energy company. This initial military hub deployment is a testament to the excellent performance of the networks Advantech Wireless has provided in this region and with other military satellite network operators. Based on the cost performance tradeoff, Advantech Wireless continues to provide an industry-leading solution for both commercial and military organizations worldwide.

As a turnkey system Advantech Wireless supplied a hub antenna, a high precision antenna control/tracking system and a redundant RF chain including High Power Amplifiers, Frequency Converters, and a redundant Discovery VSAT hub. The VSAT hub includes Advantech Wireless' highly regarded 96 channel TDMA Multi-Carrier Demodulator on a single card. The remote terminals use Advantech Wireless' 1.2m Pioneer drive-away antennas with high performance Gallium Nitride (GaN) Block Up converters and high throughput VSAT modems. ""Advantech Wireless is the only satellite equipment manufacturer that is able to provide the complete network solution from its own product portfolio,"" said Steve Richeson, senior VP of Global Sales for Advantech Wireless. ""This unique range of capabilities lets our customers reduce their overall equipment costs while maintaining industry leading reliability and performance.""
