The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has featured the 'Erteqaa’ initiative during its participation at GITEX 2016 held from October 16 to 20, 2016 at the Dubai World Trade Center. The initiative aims to improve the telecom service centers in the UAE through a customer survey to help identify that services that increase their satisfaction in all telecom operators’ service centers across the UAE.

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the initiative was developed to implement one of the TRA’s strategic goal in achieving happiness for customers, which is part of a comprehensive agenda in response to the UAE Government’s directives to include happiness in its approach, targets and priorities.

TRA pointed out that 'Erteqaa’ is one of the various programs being implemented by the TRA to achieve customers’ happiness. It falls under the 'Esaad’ initiative, which include various activities launched earlier by the TRA to help attain people’s happiness, following the directives of our nation’s wise leadership that happiness as not only an image to maintain but an action to be implemented and a national comprehensive plan that touches the core of all sectors.

The 'Erteqaa’ for customer service centers initiative evaluates telecom operators’ centers to ensure that they follow the quality standards set by the TRA, in collaboration with Etisalat and du to provide the best services for customers.

The TRA is participating in GITEX under the UAE smart government umbrella, along with 21 other government entities. It displays at the event 12 innovative projects that include the most recent ICT applications that serve all sectors in society. It also features other major initiatives that aim to meet the objectives of the UAE Vision 2021 and promote the smart technology transformation in the UAE.
