At this year’s Telecom Review Summit, the Middle East’s largest ICT industry event, MTN GlobalConnect was awarded with the ‘Best Value-Added Services Provider’ award.

Toni Eid, CEO of Trace Media International and Founder of Telecom Review, commented: “We take great pride in presenting these awards to our winners this year in an effort to honor their distinguished success in their respective categories.”

The award was accepted by Kedar Gupte, General Manager of MTN, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

MTN GlobalConnect has won the award due to its offering of a complete end-to-end solution through which they have proven their capabilities to provide valuable services to their clients.

In 2017, GlobalConnect was established as the main driver and commercial vehicle for the consolidation of MTN’s presence both nationally and internationally through their major wholesale activities. With the group’s strategic focus being based around wholesale, the operational structure of the company was revised and resulted in its being established as an Opco.

Since then, the company has experienced tremendous success and offers the most capable backbone network in Africa through its highly reliable solutions for international mobile services and fixed connectivity.

Jeff Seal, Managing Partner of Telecom Review North America noted, "These awards recognize not only the best of the best in the industry, but their achievements as individuals."
