Andrew Feinberg, CEO & Chairman of Netcracker and BostonGene delivered the panel opening keynote titled “Harnessing the Power of AI” on Day 1 of the 17th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit at the Le Meridien in Dubai.
Led by moderator Zakaria Chouaib, Managing Director Africa & Middle East, TMT & Infrastructure Lead, PMP Strategy, the 17th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit presented the opening panel entitled: ‘The ICT Leaders Keeping Up with the Fast Technological Evolution.’
The panel titled “Leveraging Generative AI for Successful Telco to Techco Transformation, powered by AWS, brought together industry leaders to explore the transformative potential of generative AI for telecom operators transitioning into techcos. The panel was moderator by Giuseppe Cau, Sr. Customer Solutions Manager - Middle East and Africa, AWS, and the esteemed panelists included, Marc Veelenturf, CEO of Middle East Turkey & Head of Telecom, Media & Technology for Growing Markets, Atos, Mounir Ladki, President and CTO, MYCOM OSI; Samer Geissah, Director Technology Strategy and Architecture, TELUS; Denis Bernaert, VP Strategic Telco EMEA, Salesforce; Kemal Karakayali, AI/ML Telco Manager, AWS; and Ram Ramachandran - SVP & Head, Middle East & Africa, Tech Mahindra.
Led by moderator Maryam Al Fahad, Regional Director – Business Development, Playbook, the panelists shared insights about how digital transformation has reshaped telcos, the outcomes of their digital strategies, and the importance of digital inclusion for their success.
The panel titled ‘Raising the Cybersecurity Barrier - Data Privacy and Protection’ was moderated by Zayan Sadek, SP Director, Cisco.

In the 17th edition of the Telecom Leaders’ Summit, Karim Benkirane, CCO of du, delivered a keynote on the first day about 5G advancement. He stated that 5.5G technology is halfway to 6G. Within less than four years, the telcos managed to roll out 5G, and du became the first in the world to build a home of the future.
As a wrap-up to the 17th edition of Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit, Telecom Review Group organized its Excellence Awards ceremony to recognize exceptional global and regional companies, along with industry leaders, for their innovative initiatives and influential contributions throughout 2023.
