Vodafone Qatar announced its financial results for the first six months of 2021. Compared to H1 2020, the company has made significant growth in H1 2021, particularly in the achieved net profit of QR 134 million — 65.5% increase.


In terms of total revenue, Vodafone Qatar had an 8.5% year-on-year increase, generating QR 1.16 billion. This is driven by continued growth in the company’s postpaid revenue and fixed broadband services in addition to higher handset sales. Moreover, service revenue hits billion Qatari riyals after growing by 7.8%.

EBITDA for the period stood at QR 472 million, representing a strong improvement of 21.1% year-on-year. This is a result of higher service revenue and continued cost optimization initiatives. EBITDA margin also expanded by 4.2 percentage points to reach 40.6%.

Vodafone Qatar provides a comprehensive range of services including voice, messaging, data, fixed communications, IoT, and ICT managed services in the State of Qatar, serving 1.7 million mobile customers as of  June 30, 2021.

Its state-of-the-art network infrastructure is expanding to cover key locations in the country with fiber connectivity and 5G, along with an extensive digital ecosystem, which will contribute to Qatar's continued growth and prosperity.
