Leading pan-African telecoms group, Liquid Telecom, is activating 82 km of fibre in a cross-border network into Botswana. This implementation gives more people in Botswana access to Liquid Telecom’s footprint of more than 73,000km of Pan African fibre - and increased access to the global digital economy.

Dutch fixed and mobile operator KPN is to invest €3.5 billion by 2024 as it continues to pursue nationwide fiber roll outs. The three-year investment plan is part of the telco’s strategy to support digitalization in the Netherlands and is expected to bring revenue growth by the end of 2021.

Nokia has announced that it has deployed its G.fast solution to extend the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network of NetCologne, the largest regional telecommunications provider in Germany with over 28,000 kilometers of laid fiber-optic cables.
