President of Huawei Middle East Charles Yang highlights the company’s efforts to support governments and enterprises in the Middle East region, particularly Qatar, in the recently concluded Milipol Qatar 2021 event. Yang reaffirmed that by building stronger ICT ecosystems and cybersecurity-focused programs, Huawei can contribute to achieving national development visions.

Nokia and du, a leading UAE-based telecommunications service provider from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), announced signing of a four-year 5G expansion deal. Saleem Al Balooshi, CTO of du and Amr K. El Leithy, SVP, Middle East and Africa Market, Nokia signed the deal. As part of the agreement, Nokia will deploy the new 5G sites with its Single Radio Access Network (SRAN) technology. This will deliver 5G services in new locations and address the demand for enhanced broadband services.

Dutch-based United Group, a leading telco and media provider, selected Nokia to support its rollout of a next-generation fibre network across Southeast Europe. This will bring new ultra-broadband and 10Gbps services to millions of additional residential and business users.

Nokia announced multiple partnerships with leading public cloud providers. The collaboration of Nokia between Google Cloud, Microsoft, and Amazon, will lead to the development of solutions and use cases to solve key 5G scenarios for businesses worldwide.

Nokia announced it will expand its Self-Organizing Networks (SON) technology across 5G networks operated by one of the world's leading telecommunications carriers, Orange. The deal will cover all of Orange's markets, starting with France and Spain. Nokia continues to offer widespread support for 2G, 3G and 4G spanning more than one million Orange radio cells in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
