During its flagship annual conference, HUAWEI CONNECT 2020, Huawei has released several new platforms and development suites aimed at a growing base of some 1.8 million developers in the region and around the world.

With demand in the region increasing for cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, Huawei—a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices—has appointed a new regional president for its Cloud and AI Business Group as the company restructures its offerings in these fields.

PCCW Global, a leading international communications service provider, and New Jersey Fiber Exchange (NJFX), the only Cable Landing Station (CLS) colocation campus in the U.S offering Tier 3, carrier-neutral data center capabilities, announced the launch of a new point-of-presence (PoP) at NJFX CLS for direct access to PCCW Global’s MPLS network and the Console Connect platform.

Nokia President and CEO, Pekka Lundmark has signed a joint UN Statement, UNITED IN THE BUSINESS OF A BETTER WORLD which will be presented to the UN Secretary General as part of celebration of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations.

During HUAWEI CONNECT 2020, Huawei released a White Paper titled IT Decision-maker Insights: POLAN as an Enabler of Enterprise Campus Transformation. According to the White Paper, IT decision makers are rethinking their campus network strategies as digital transformation speeds up as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nokia has announced that it has expanded the 4G footprint of the Azerbaijan-based mobile operator, Azercell Telecom, with the installation of its AirScale 4G base stations at more than 1,400 sites across the country.

HUAWEI CONNECT 2020 opened as the company’s annual flagship event for the global ICT industry. Hosted physically in Shanghai and virtually around the world, it is a platform where Huawei discloses its major strategies for the coming year.
