stc Group, the Saudi digital enabler in KSA and the region signed an agreement with GSMA Group to host the first ever Mobile 360 series in the city of Riyadh, during stc’s participation at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona 2022. The agreement was signed by Eng. Olayan Alwetaid, stc Group CEO and Mats Granryd, director general of GSMA.
As part of the Huawei Day 0 Forum: Lighting up the Future session on February 27, a day before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 commences, Zain Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) innovation and solutions executive general manager Alan Loh is among the esteemed speakers who graced the hybrid event. Operators have long been looking for ways to improve user experience and enhance utilization of expensive yet limited spectrum. It is therefore of great importance for operators to deliver user-centric experiences for industry applications and consumers within limited network resources.
H.E. the governor of the communications and information technology commission, Dr. Mohammed Bin Saud Al-Tamimi, affirmed that the telecommunication sector in KSA is witnessing great stages of development and growth across various sectors with unlimited support from the government, as the sector has been receiving attention by H.R.H the Crown Prince, -May God Protect Him-. During his visit, H.E. praised stc Group’s pavilion participating at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, for the efforts made by the group in provisioning the ICT sector, as well as the recent initiatives announced by stc of establishing a major digital center for the Middle East and North Africa, which enhances the Kingdom’s leadership in the ICT sector.
