At the 13th edition of Telecom Review Summit, the ICT industry’s biggest event in the Middle East, CEO of Fiber Misr, Ahmed Mekky, won ‘Industry CEO of the Year- Infrastructure Provider’.

“The winners of this year’s Telecom Review Awards represent the best of the best in our industry due to their professional achievements. I am proud to say that this year’s Summit has been a tremendous success and has brought together the most prominent figures of the ICT industry to discuss the latest and greatest in telecoms and technology,” said Toni Eid, CEO of Trace Media International and Founder of Telecom Review.

Mekky began his career in the telecoms and technology industries and is a well-established expert with over 20 years’ of industry experience. Since then, he has taken the ICT industry by storm where he achieved a great deal.

He co-founded Gulf Bridge International (GBI), the region’s first ever privately-owned, carrier neutral telecoms service provider where he was a director on the board until 2018.

Not only this, but he also first handedly led the construction of the first ever operated submarine cable in the Gulf region of the Middle East and then expanded further into Africa, Europe and Asia.
