At LEAP 2025, what is new for Zain KSA during its participation this year?
First of all, welcome to our booth at LEAP 2025—the world’s most-attended tech event. We are proud to have been partners of this conference since its inception and significant contributors to its events and activities. Each year, we ensure our participation reflects Zain KSA’s unique identity: a leading Saudi telecoms company that embraces innovation and tech advancement across virtually all fields. At the same time, we try to bring something new to our booth every year. After our exceptional showcase at LEAP 2024, which envisioned our beloved Kingdom over the next decade, this year, we made sure our participation embodied the LEAP 2025 theme ‘Into New Worlds’ down to the finest detail.
Every visitor and follower across our various channels got the chance to experience the ‘Wonderful World of Zain.’
We attempted to reflect our vision by delivering an immersive, futuristic experience that enabled visitors to envision a future filled with smart cities and thriving entertainment and sports sectors. Our booth this year reflects our corporate sustainability strategy as well, which focuses on biodiversity protection and how innovation can be leveraged to serve Zain KSA’s individual and enterprise customers while ensuring the highest standards of sustainability and overall quality of life in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
What makes our booth stand out is its three experiences that reflect numerous applications and use cases, all of which simulate the concept of sustainability.
- The sky element represents the aspirations of Zain KSA and its employees, reflecting our role in supporting the realization of the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s Giga projects.
- The 360-degree view of the Earth resembles our vision for the future of smart cities and potential digital solutions across all sectors.
- The sea element serves as a symbol of sustainability that embodies Zain KSA’s practices and solutions for preserving biodiversity, sustaining natural ecosystems, and reducing carbon emissions.
As the VP of Corporate Communications, what were the most frequently asked questions by visitors this year? And did Zain KSA offer any standout solutions or services to address their needs?
Saudi Arabia is one of the most digitally connected and tech-savvy societies and is rapidly embracing advancements across various fields. A key driver of this is the youth demographic, as over half of the population comprises young people. For this digital-native generation, technology is more than an add-on; it is an integral part of life that shapes everything from education and entertainment to healthcare and work.
Unsurprisingly, automation has become the cornerstone of modern business across public and private sectors. The successful implementation of large-scale projects hinges on a proactive approach to embracing innovative digital solutions and establishing robust infrastructure to continue to meet evolving business needs. Telecom and digital service providers are constantly being challenged to keep up with the ever-changing expectations and needs of a diverse customer base.
Customers frequently inquire about the response speeds and quality of digital solutions and services. However, at Zain KSA we believe that digital providers must not only react to customer demands but also anticipate them by offering a clear, forward-thinking vision of the latest digital technologies and solutions.
We’ve consistently anticipated market trends and delivered innovative digital solutions for years, and our commitment to this proactive approach is stronger than ever.
When we launched the region’s largest 5G network—the fourth largest globally at the time of rollout—we knew this would solidify our position as the go-to partner for businesses across every sector and the leading digital service provider in the Kingdom. Today, following our announcement of a SAR 1.6-billion investment dedicated to expanding our 5G-Advanced (5G-A) capabilities, we are determined to remain the key, dynamic partner contributing to the Kingdom’s global digital leadership, ensuring we stand among the trailblazers of a smart and sustainable era.
At the heart of our new investments is an effective strategy and a commitment to embracing the most advanced digital solutions. LEAP 2025 has served as a great platform to showcase our prowess and has given visitors the chance to explore our vision firsthand in the form of an integrated journey through our innovation zone, which has been equipped with the latest digital solutions designed to empower critical connectivity infrastructure. This experience extends to innovative technologies that support the entertainment, sports, cultural, and industrial sectors.
Furthermore, we unveiled a new suite of cloud-based solutions and services via the Zain Cloud, which are set to accelerate digital transformation and foster a more efficient, innovative environment.
Zain KSA has announced over 30 strategic partnerships at LEAP 2025. Can you walk us through some of these collaborations?
LEAP 2025 is more than a tech exhibition; it’s a global platform shaping the future of digital transformation. Here, leading technology companies from Saudi Arabia and the world come together to build partnerships that drive innovation, attract investment, and advance the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Announcing over 30 strategic partnerships demonstrates a calculated step towards building a fully integrated and sustainable digital economy. These collaborations are fundamental in the digital transformation journey and span critical aspects, from infrastructure and cloud computing to artificial intelligence (AI) and environmental sustainability. Our partnership with Huawei, for example, supports Saudi Vision 2030’s Pilgrim Experience Program, and introduces smart solutions for Hajj and Umrah, enhancing the experience of more than 50 million pilgrims and visitors each year. At the same time, our commitment to sustainability led to a partnership with Nokia to develop solutions that reduce carbon emissions, aligning with the Kingdom’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2060. We also secured agreements with leading tech firms to introduce pioneering solutions across industries, from manufacturing to entertainment and culture.
Each of these partnerships align with a shared vision: to build an integrated digital society, position the Kingdom as a global innovation hub and achieve sustainable digital transformation for future generations. The future we envision is one that we can shape together.
By partnering with global tech leaders and focusing on AI, cloud computing, sustainability, and human empowerment through technology, we can shape a brighter, hyper-connected world.
