Mondia, a leading private digital experiences company, signed a strategic agreement with Apigate, the next generation Application Programming Interface (API) platform. This new bilateral partnership will serve as a bridge for Mondia to extend its Direct Carrier Billing (DCB) and Over-The-Top (OTT) services to the Asia Pacific.  Similarly, Mondia will enable Apigate to extend its services to Europe, Middle East and Africa.

This partnership puts Mondia in the perfect position to leverage its DCB services in the Asia Pacific region, which remains unbanked with minimal use of credit cards. According to Frost and Sullivan’s Future of Cashless Payments, APAC is expected to be 56% cashless by 2022, relying on mobiles devices for more than half of their payments.

“Our new partnership is perfectly timed as we expand our footprint, offering digital experiences to new markets not reached before,” said Dr. Amadeo Rahmann, CEO of Mondia.

Zoran Vasiljev, CEO of Apigate adds, “The world is becoming increasingly digital and we are excited to collaborate with Mondia and expand our reach with a world-class ecosystem of partners to offer consumers a secure and convenient payment solution.”

The first phase of this collaboration will see Mondia enabling its services in four telecommunication operators in the APAC region. Simultaneously, development is currently underway to offer additional Apigate DCB services in EMEA.
