The 12th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit kicked off this morning at The Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon and attracted over 450 attendees from over 20 countries.

The Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit has become an integral fixture in the ICT calendar, and is widely regarded as being one of the most important events in the telecommunications sector.

The Telecom Review Leaders Summit has once again attracted the top thought-leaders from the industry, including C-level executives from the region’s major operators, vendors and other prominent figures and stakeholders from the ICT ecosystem.

CEO of Trace Media International, Toni Eid officially opened the 12th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit and explained that the concept of the conference was to gather leaders from the industry under one roof to share and ideas and knowledge in order to shape the future together.

Eid said, “It is a great pleasure to have with us today His Excellency Mohamed Choucair, Minister of Telecommunications, who is representing His Excellency Mr. Saad Hariri, President of the Council of Ministers. We’re also proud to have the top leaders of the industry from vendors, operators and the Lebanese diaspora in the ICT sector coming from over 20 countries. We will discuss the 5G era, the new network capacity, and how to make the networks secure, in addition to the technology affecting our daily lives.”

The CEO of Trace Media International then highlighted how ICT vendors Ericsson and Nokia will showcase their 5G capabilities at the event.

He added, “Two of our partners will demonstrate today the capabilities of the 5G network. Ericsson will showcase how 5G brings the promise of reliable high-performance networks with extremely low latency as well as increased possibilities with the MusicConnect demo. Nokia will apresent a football demo which showcases zero latency over 5G and speeds of over 1.5Gbps.”
