We are all aware that 5G, the next generation of the telecommunication standards is around the corner. From an end user standpoint, who is not aware of the possible applications of this new technology the usual response will be – so what? Here we will try and answer this basic query in simplistic terms

Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Saad Hariri, President of the Council of Ministers, the 12th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit held in Beirut has witnessed a high level of attendees representing leading regional and international telecommunications and ICT brands.

The Reseaux IP Europeens Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) – the independent, not-for-profit membership organization that supports the infrastructure of the internet through technical coordination in Europe, Middle East and Central Asia, will shed light on pertinent issues concerning the growth directions of the internet community in the Middle East at the meeting of the upcoming Middle East Network Operators Group and Peering Forum (MENOG 19).  The event, which will take place in Beirut from 3-4 April 2019, will discuss major concerns connected to routing, the domain name system, peering, Internet Exchange Point (IXP) development and ongoing progress in the deployment of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) across the region.

Alfa CEO Marwan Hayek has highlighted the phenomenal success of its Alfa Sports app, E-waste partnership with Ericsson and its +961 initiative at the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit which is being held at The Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon.

touch’s Chief Executive Officer, Emre Gurkan presented a detailed overview of touch’s performance in Lebanon during the 12th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit, that was held on March 29 at the Phoenicia hotel, under the patronage of Prime Minister Saad Hariri, represented by the Minister of Telecommunications, Mohamed Choucair.
