During HUAWEI CONNECT 2023 in Shanghai, Ankabut and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Huawei) held a strategic partnership agreement signing ceremony.

Key attendees include Vincent Liu, president of Huawei's enterprise network marketing and solution sales department; Fahem Al Nuaimi, CEO of Ankabut; and Justin Liu, director of Huawei's UAE enterprise marketing and solution sales department.

This strategic partnership between Ankabut and Huawei is a key milestone to deepen cooperation, strengthen complementary advantages and accelerate the digital transformation of the education industry.

Ankabut is the United Arab Emirates' Advanced National Research and Education Network (NREN), which offers a wide range of ICT services for universities, colleges, research institutions, vocational schools and other educational institutions. Typical services include cloud services, network connectivity, IT infrastructure, equipment room/cabinet hosting and leasing, managed services, professional services and training services. Currently, Ankabut services have been extended to more than 35 educational organizations and 80 higher education institutions.

Signing the strategic partnership agreement will deepen the goals of cooperation between Ankabut and Huawei. The two parties agree to strategically cooperate with each other in joint sales, showcase setup and brand marketing, as well as joint innovation, and plan to gradually implement these initiatives in the next three years.

Fahem Al Nuaimi, CEO of Ankabut, said, "We have been working together with Huawei to advance ICT infrastructures and accelerate digital transformation in the UAE. So far, we have established all-round partnerships with Huawei in data centers, HPC, and networks. Looking ahead, we will continue to strengthen our cooperation and strategic investment with Huawei."

The two sides expect that the signing of the strategic partnership agreement will contribute to the UAE's national vision of “the First-Rate Education System,” paving the way for digital-enabled talent development in the UAE.
