His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the 2025 UAE National Action Plan, which places a strong focus on three key areas, including accelerating innovations in artificial intelligence (AI).

During a recent UAE Cabinet meeting held in Qasr Al Watan, Abu Dhabi, advancements in AI and its transformative potential to drive economic growth, enhance public services, and improve the quality of life, were underlined in the country’s 2025 National Action Plan.

UAE: A Global Leader in AI Innovation

The initiative underscores the UAE’s commitment to investing in AI research and development (R&D), alongside implementing AI solutions across various sectors.

The UAE Cabinet also approved the UAE’s standpoint on the international AI policy, which advocates for transparency, ethical standards, and global cooperation.  This initiative aims to solidify the UAE’s position as an international leader in AI innovation.

In addition to AI, the 2025 National Action Plan will address two other key areas: promoting the Emirati identity and supporting the country’s familial unity.

Sheikh Mohammed urged all parties to actively participate by sharing ideas and initiatives to shape the UAE’s strategies in the three key areas, which will be the top agenda of the government’s annual meeting, scheduled to take place on November 5th and 6th.

The substantial results of the UAE’s economic and investment development project were also reviewed in the meeting, which was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance of the UAE; Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Interior; and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The UAE’s 2025 Action Plan underscores the country’s inclusive future and will be achieved by advancing technological innovations while supporting the welfare of its citizens and promoting cultural value.
